Dream Theory is an online publication founded in late 2024 by Julio Angel Ortiz. Our focus is fiction, art and essays. Our mantra is "Narrative, unbound" and we began publishing in April 2025.
Meet the Staff
Julio Angel Ortiz, Founder
Julio Angel Ortiz has written short stories published in Cossmass Infinities magazine, The Consultations of Sherlock Holmes and The Nefarious Villains of Sherlock Holmes Volume II by Belanger Books, and several collections by Obverse Books including Faction Paradox: The Boulevard Vol. II.
Jen Burns, Senior Editor
Jen discovered her love of copy editing by getting frustrated at poor quality video game translations. She has her degree in English Literature. Rumor has it she might be right behind you.
Vince Stadon, Creative Director
Vince Stadon is a writer, producer and illustrator from southwest England.
His plays include Checkpoint Dave; Sherlock Holmes and the Devil’s Whisper; Who Killed Elvis?; Rishikesh; Night of the Living Deadline; and The Deadly Dance of Mr Crispie.
His books include the Hounded! My Lifelong Obsession with Sherlock Holmes and the Hound of the Baskervilles; Counting Draculas – Binge-Watching the Vampire King; and Ella: The Vampire Rules.
He is a founding member of Boogie Nachts Theatre and has worked as a writer-producer for The Sitcom Trials, The 4077th Productions, Little Epic Theatre, and Afternoon Tea Adventures.
He has written gags for BBC Radio Wales, and numerous articles and short stories for various publications including Sherlock Holmes Magazine; We Belong Dead; Venue, Cwej; Faction Paradox; Before You Blow Out the Candle; The Consultations of Sherlock Holmes and The Villains of Sherlock Holmes.
He lives in a house on a hill with his wife, their five cats, and an anxiety disorder.
