Divergence rates:

Physical: 1-2 degrees.

Major phenotypic variation from legacy human standard; high phenotypic variability within population. Bilateral symmetry, vision primacy, minimum 2 manipulator appendages maintained.

Most individuals exhibit non-legacy phenotypes curated for labor specialization, divergences include: musculature gigantism, significantly expanded vision spectrum, increased tactile/olfactory/temperature sensitivity; increased heat/cold tolerance; presence of reserve oxygen storage organs; radiation resistant dermis; additional functional thumb and supporting tendons in the hand and wrist.

Genetic: 0.5 degrees.

All individuals possess 24/48 autosomes. Mutation rate in legacy autosomes consistent with approximately 800 earth-year isolation period. Additional autosomes are not previously documented, reported developed shopboard during flight as adaptive support for extended spacefaring. Extensive in-utero epigenetic control and post-partum gene-therapies are employed to produce previously mentioned phenotypic variation. All assessments so far suggest no decrease in reproductive compatibility with baseline human strains or increased risk of non-viability or genetic sterility in offspring.

Ethical: 1 degree.

No presence or evinced conception of beings possessing communicable or demonstrable intelligence not considered human or possessing the moral weight of a human. No observed or reported practice of fatal punishment or punitive harm. No evidence of systematic un-personing. No evidence of nutritional cannibalism.

Moderate hereditary stratification observed. Labor-specialist phenotypes and attendant labor obligations are frequently hereditary, included administrative labor and its attendant status. Administration is primarily consensus-based, but certain specialists, those with labor obligations center in navigation, management, and medicine, possess veto rights and rights to compel labor. All individuals surveyed acknowledge stratification as necessary exigency of interstellar travel, expect egalitarianism to prevail post disembarkation.

Recommendation: Landfall permission. Un-supervised commune formation as consensus leads. Rapid voluntary integration with cultural documentation/preservation plan.

Note: assessment prepared based on supplemental interviews and adversarial surveillance conducted in 257-hour period following initial contact survey, extraction, and analysis of main shipboard records system.

Physical: 3 degrees.

In addition to labor-specialization adaptations described in initial report, significant use of surgical modification detected by subsequent scans. Interviews suggest that modifications include prevention of natural fertilization and involuntary hysterectomy for the purpose of enforcing reproduction via artificial womb. Interviews suggest routine implantation of brainstem devices for remote induction of pain or tonic seizure; endocrine modifications designed to increase oxytocin-mediated loyalty bonding with elites; neuro-endocrine modifications designed to produce negative condition/artificial fear response toward collective resistance actions or absence of hierarchy.

Genetic: No update.

Ethical: 5 degrees, catastrophic incompatibility.

Initial interviews appear to have been deceptive in terms of subjects selected and response coaching. Stratification is much more pronounced and prodigious than indicated in initial report, consisting of a stable hereditary caste system. Democratic and communitarian forms of government reported in interviews entirely false. Administrative class maintains oligarchic authority and completely controls reproduction via surgical sterilization and control of artificial womb access. Known dissidents not permitted to reproduce. Subject castes not permitted to produce children with ruling-caste gene modifications. Embryos assessed as defective/disabled euthanized upon detection, including post-partum euthanasia of disabled infants. Dissidence and resistance to oligarchic control are disrupted via implantation of torture/crowd control devices, via hormone modification to encourage emotional identification with ruling caste, and to provoke extreme anxiety responses to unauthorized gathering and collective action. Pervasive propaganda mythology reinforces caste hierarchy and asserts the divine ordination of oligarchic authority.

Recommendation: Forcible liberation of subject castes. Landing refusal and permanent non-contact with oligarch caste. Reparative therapy and implant removal of all subject caste members to fully restore autonomy. Provision of ongoing therapy and support to liberated population. Offer of dispersed integration, high-mediation independent commune formation, or transport to alternative planet, pending permission from alternative settlement sites.

Please, you can’t let them land and set up on Jardin like they are on the ship. They’ll keep doing everything, and people will say they agree to all of it, that it’s what the commune agrees. I told Low to ask them about disability. There was no one. I noticed because I use exos for my knees, and I saw how they looked at me, and there was no one. But he didn’t listen. He just did the interviews and took the team. But I stayed.

I saw them do it. I saw two of the officers—that’s what they call themselves, officers—assessing a womb-box, and they decided the baby would have scoliosis and killed them. Just turned it off and drained it. They’re not gene-suppressing disability or using assistives or accommodating. They’re killing them, and no one can complain, not about that, not about anything. I saw a bunch of people come to the captain right after Low left. They were mad none of them had been allowed to talk to us, and the captain pressed something on her handheld and half of them fell down, and then she started hurting one of them, with those implants, until they all promised to go back to work and lie if anyone asked about all of it.
